Do I need a landline for installation?

No, a landline is not required for your security system. Bulldog Security can install a Cellular device that will send all signals to the monitoring station. This is a stand alone system that has nothing to do with your cell phone or your cell phone plan. If you have a home phone and want to use it instead of a cellular device, we can do that too.

Is the system wireless?

Bulldog Security installs the latest home security system available. Most of the newest systems available operate with wireless contacts, however we still carry a hardwired option for those customers looking for a system with less maintenance. Although wireless systems are less intrusive on the home, batteries are required and will need to be changed every 3-5 years. The customer will always have the final say when both options are available.

How much does it cost?

The cost of security systems varies with many different factors—the features you need and prefer, the size of the area that needs to be secured, the type and capabilities of the products you choose. For that reason, we offer you a customized estimate and quote, working within your budget and timeframe so you know what to expect.

Is there a contract?

Not necessarily. Bulldog Security in Pea Ridge offers the option to pay upfront without signing a contract at the time of purchase, or a contract where you pay off the installation cost and maintenance fees over a series of monthly payments, with the contract length determined individually for each client.

What if I have pets?

Many people with pets have security systems. Nothing we install will harm your pet, and they will become accustomed to the sounds and alerts the system transmits. However, the main concern for homeowners who have a security system and also have pets is that they will set off motion detectors when they jump around, climb on furniture, and do other things all pets do. A safe and effective alternative to motion detectors are glass break sensors, which go off when strong vibrations are felt near the windows. Rather than sensing motion, they sense loud sound waves and vibrations from breaking glass, so your pet can move around freely without setting off the alarm.

What if the trouble light on my system comes on?

If you cannot immediately detect the problem, give us a call right away. One of the Bulldog Security staff members can walk you through the issue or troubleshoot it remotely from our access center.
